Apache Web Server - Change the Default Page

1. Connect to the server via SSH, (or open a terminal session). The file you need to edit is called httpd.conf. This server is running CentOS, so you should find that file in the /etc/httpd/conf folder.

Change Apache Default webpage
2. I'm going to edit it with nano.
Change Apache Default Landing Page
3. Locate the DirectoryIndex section and remove index.html and any other unwanted filename (i.e. in this example index.html.var).
Change Apache Default main page
4. Add in the one you require and save and exit, (press CTRL+X and Y to save).
-Change Apache Default Web Page
5. You nee to restart Apache for the change to take effect.
apachectl -k restart
Restart Apache Web Server

AnyConnect - Using a Windows DHCP Server to Lease IP Addresses to the Remote Clients

AnyConnect - Using a Windows DHCP Server to Lease IP Addresses to the Remote Clients

Solution

Setup a New Windows AnyConnect DHCP Scope

1. Server Manager > Tools > DHCP > Expand Server-name > IPv4 > Right Click > New Scope > Name it and follow the instructions.
dhcp scope
2. Setup a network with enough addresses to cover all your remote clients.
dhcp scope AnyConnect
3. You do not need to specify a router/default gateway, but I setup DNS settings (even though you still set these options on the firewall).
dhcp scope DNS
Once the new scope is up, activated and running you need to configure the firewall.

Changing AnyConnect to Use your Windows DHCP Server.

Here I already have the ASA doing DHCP from a local IP pool, so I'm going to remove that pool, and change over to the DHCP server.
1. To use a windows server for DHCP you need to put an entry in the 'Tunnel-Group' for your AnyConnect connection (if you only have one DHCP scope that's all you need to do, but because I want to use a different scope I also need to put an entry in the AnyConnect 'Group-Policy' as well. (That's the group policy on the Cisco firewall, I'm NOT talking about Windows Group Policies!)
Below with a show run tun command I can see the firewall pool I'm using and the name of my group-policy.
show tunnel groups
2. First remove the pool from the tunnel group
Petes-ASA# configure terminal
Petes-ASA(config)# tunnel-group {group_name} general-attributes
Petes-ASA(config-tunnel-general)# no address-pool {pool_name}
AnyConnect Remove IP Pool
3. Then while still in the general-attributes section specify the IP address of your DHCP server. Then you need to edit the group-policy to specify the network address of the DHCP scope you want to use (if you only have one scope skip this step, but if you have more than one scope the ASA will take an address for the first scope it gets to, if you don't specify one!).
Petes-ASA(config-tunnel-general)# dhcp-server {server_IP_address}
Petes-ASA(config-tunnel-general)# group-policy {policy_name} attributes
Petes-ASA(config-group-policy)# dhcp-network-scope {DHCP_Scopenetwork_address}
dhcp scope network address
4. Finally I don't need it any more so I'll delete the IP pool I was using before.
dhcp scope
5. Lets make sure my remote clients can still connect.
dhcp scope
6. I could simply look in the management console to see the lease, but let's be a bit geeky and use PowerShell.
dhcp scope

Configure Your Firewall for SNMP

Configure Your Firewall for SNMP

Problem

Had a requirement to let SNMP traffic though a firewall this week, I have a client that has both SolarWinds and SCOM, and they need to monitor the external Citrix ADC load balancers. For SNMP we simply need UDP ports 161 and 162 (See below) but SolarWinds maintains 'ping' connectivity to the monitored assets, so ICMP also needs to be open.

Inbound Ports

Inbound SNMP Ports

Outbound Ports

Outbound SNMP Ports

Solution

As my 'weapon of choice' is a Cisco ASA, here's how to set it up.
1. Connect to the firewall and proceed to global configuration mode.
User Access Verification Password:*******
Type help or '?' for a list of available commands.
Petes-ASA> enable
Password: ********
Petes-ASA# configure terminal
Petes-ASA(config)#

2. Assuming my inside interface is called 'inside' allow the traffic outbound then apply that ACL to the firewall with an access-group command.

Cisco ASA - 'access-group' Warning

Petes-ASA(config)# access-list outbound permit udp host 192.168.1.100 host 172.16.1.10 eq 161
Petes-ASA(config)# access-list outbound permit icmp host 192.168.1.100 host 172.16.1.10
Petes-ASA(config)# access-group outbound in interface inside
3. Assuming my outside interface is called 'outside' allow the traffic inbound then apply that ACL to the firewall with an access-group command.
Cisco ASA - 'access-group' Warning

Petes-ASA(config)# access-list inbound permit udp host 172.16.1.10 host 192.168.1.100 eq 161
Petes-ASA(config)# access-list inbound permit icmp host 172.16.1.10 host 192.168.1.100
Petes-ASA(config)# access-group inbound in interface outside
Note: Simply allowing ICMP will not permit 'ping' see the following article;
Cisco Firewalls and PING
  4. Save the changes.
Petes-ASA(config)# write memory
Building configuration...
Cryptochecksum: aab5e5a2 c707770d f7350728 d9ac34de
[OK]
Petes-ASA(config)#
Also
You may want to open UDP 514 (syslog) from the device to the monitoring server, (assuming you have configured syslog on the monitored device). If the monitored device cannot communicate make sure it's not using DNS to resolve the monitoring server (if so you may need to open UDP 53 to a DNS server).

மறந்துபோன மொபைல் நம்பரை கண்டுபிடிக்க எளிய வழி..!

Easy way to find out forgotten mobile number

  2.  Aircel சேவையைப் பயன்படுத்துபவர்கள் *131#
  3. Airtel சேவையைப் பயன்படுத்துபவர்கள் *121*9#
  4. Reliance சேவையைப் பயன்படுத்துபவர்கள்  *1#
  5. Vodafone சேவையைப் பயன்படுத்துபவர்கள்  *777*0#
